Countries
The Countries menu allows you to maintain a list of countries with basic details of the country and tax withholding information.
To add a Country
From Admin menu, click System Codes, Generic Definitions, and then Countries. The Country Search page appears. All Countries available in Aura appear on the page, sorted alphabetically based on their ISO Alpha-3 codes.
Click Add. New Country -- General (1/2) page appears.

Enter three-letter ISO Alpha-3 Code of the Country in the Code (ISO Alpha-3) field, defined as part of the ISO 3166-1 standard.
Enter descriptive Name of the Country.
Enter two-letter ISO Alpha-2 Code for the Country in the Code(ISO Alpha-2) field, defined as part of the ISO 3166-1 standard.
Enter three-digit numeric ISO Digit-3 Code for the Country in the Code (ISO Digit-3) field, defined as part of the ISO 3166-1 standard
Enter Capital city of the Country. For example, enter Rome for Italy. Usually, this is considered as the administrative capital, which physically encompasses the offices and meeting places of the government.
Select Default Currency (medium of financial transactions / exchange) of the Country from the list of available drop-down options. The Currency should have been created using the Currency Maintenance option.
Select Language of the Country from the list of available drop-down options. The Language should have been created using the Admin > System Codes > Generic Definitions > Language option.
Enter ISD Code of the country.
Enter Age of majority. It is the majority age for a country.
Note: Based on the mentioned Age Of Majority for a country, Aura will derive value for the Minor field as Yes or No at Person Level.
Select Require zip code check box if you wish to specify whether or not the zip code for that Country should be mandatory in any Address tab in Aura.
Select Hide for customers check box to indicate that this Country is not available for customers' web-based transactions. For instance, you may use this when you wish to restrict certain options from particular countries.
Select Risk level for the country from the available drop-down list -- Low, Medium or High.
Select OECD flag check box if you wish to specify whether or not the selected country belong to The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
Click Next. New Country -- Confirmation (2/2) page appears.
Note: If custom field is mapped to Countries under Admin > System Codes > Custom fields > Field mapping, then an additional screen will appear before the confirmation screen. Custom fields will be mandatory or non mandatory based on the rules set at the Field mappings. For more detail on custom field functionality please refer Admin> System codes > Custom fields > Field mappings manual.

- Click Finish. Country page appears displaying the details of the Country you added.

Functions: Add, Search, Suspend, Activate, Edit, Delete
Suspend: You can suspend the Country record by a click on Suspend button. When you click Suspend button, Aura will ask for confirmation. On confirmation, Aura will suspend the Country and Activate button will appear in place of the Suspend button.
Activate: If you want to activate a suspended a Country then click on Activate button. Aura will ask for confirmation. On confirmation Aura will activate the Country record and Suspend button will appear in place of Activate button.
Profile
The Profile tab, which is the default screen in the Country screen, shows the basic details of the country.
To View/Edit Profile.
- From Admin menu, click System Codes, Generic Definitions, and then Countries. By default, profile tab is displayed.

- Click Edit. Edit Country page is displayed.

Note: Except Code (ISO Alpha-3), Code (ISO Alpha-2) and Code (ISO Digit-3), all other fields are editable.
- Click Save. Profile page appears with the Edited details.

Delete: You can delete a Country by a click on Delete button. When you click Delete button, Aura displays an alert message. On confirmation, Aura will delete the record. If selected country is not mapped any where, then on click of Yes Aura will display an error message as Country is already in use.
Custom Field
This option provides you the flexibility to define fields apart from those that are already available in the standard version of Aura. Thus, it enables you to customize additional data storage and use as required to suit your specific business needs.
To edit Custom Field
- Access Country page and click Custom Field tab.

Custom Field appears only when it is created in Admin > System codes > Custom fields > Custom fields and linked to specific functions in Admin > System codes > Custom fields > Field mappings. Based on the rule set in the rule builder at Admin > System codes > Custom fields > Field mappings, certain custom maintenance will be mandatory.
Click Edit. Edit Custom Field page appears. In the following illustration, a custom field, Continent has been mapped to the Country as shown below:

Enter name of the Continent to which the country belongs. This is the custom field mapped to client account at Admin > System codes > Custom fields > Field mappings,
Click Save. Country screen appears displaying the details of the new custom that you added.
