Reward Points Redemption

The reward points earned by the Client Account are credited to the Loyalty Account from which reward point redemptions are done. Reward points redemption can be automatic or manual. In automatic mode the reward points are automatically redeemed based on the redemption frequency and limit set at the account level. If it is Manual, you can redeem the reward points at any time using this option.

To redeem the reward points

1. From the Retail menu, click Accounts, then Loyalty account and then Reward points redemption. The Reward points Redemption → General (1/2) page appears.

2. Select the Client by clicking on client hyperlink. The Client search page appears with the list of Clients maintained under CRM > Clients > Maintain. You can search for a client with relevant criteria and select the required client. You can also input the client name and select the required client from the list displayed by Aura.

3. Select the Client Account number by clicking on the Client account# hyperlink. It will display the selected client's Active Client Account numbers that have a Loyalty Account linked to it, where manual redemption is allowed.

4. In the Loyalty account# field, by default the loyalty account number for the selected Client Account will be displayed.

5. The Reward points balance field displays the balance of the reward points in the Loyalty Account.

6. Aura will default the Redemption rate type maintained at the account level. This rate type is considered for the conversion of Loyalty account currency to Client account currency.

7. Balance in account currency will display the Reward points converted into the client account currency based on the currency exchange rate of the loyalty account currency and the Client account currency.

8. Enter the Points to redeem. You can input the entire reward points for redemption but should not go beyond the Reward Points Balance.

9. Redemption amount will display the points to be redeemed converted into the Client account currency based on the currency exchange rate of the Loyalty account currency and the Client account currency.

10. Redemption date will show the current date by default.

11. Enter the Notes, if any, for the redemption.

12. Click on Next. The Reward Points Redemption → Confirmation (2/2) page appears.

13. Click on Finish. The Reward points Redemption - Maintenance page will be displayed and by default, Profile tab will be open. The status of the record will be Pending.

Functions: Add, Search, Approve, Delete.

Approve: Any user other than the one who created the redemption record can approve the record. You can click on the Approve button to approve the redemption record. On approval, the redeemed reward points are debited (reduced) from the Loyalty account and the current balance in the Loyalty account will show the reduced balance. The Redemption Amount is credited to the Client account to which the Loyalty account is linked.

Delete: When the record status is pending, you can delete a redemption record by clicking on Delete button. When you click on Delete button, Aura will ask for confirmation, on approval of which the redemption record will get deleted.

The additional fields that you can view in the Profile tab are explained below.

  • Status field denotes the status of record.

  • Added field denotes the date on which the record was added.

  • Added by field denotes the name of the user who created the record.

  • Approved field denotes date on which the record was approved. This is displayed only if the record is approved.

  • Approved by field denotes name of the user who approved the record. This is displayed only if the record is approved.
