Input and Authorization
Aura has a four-eye principle or maker / checker functionality for maintaining financial information. In general, for making any changes to data in the system that has financial implications, there has to be a user to input (or update) the data and a user to authorize the data.
All non-financial master data (like branch data, calendar data, etc.) and generic information do not need further authorization.
All financial master data, like currency exchange rates, interest rates need authorization.
All liability account creation that defaults parameters from Products, where the user has not changed any information does not need authorizations.
If an account has changed data -- like interest rate -- that is different from the Product then this account needs to be authorized.
All asset products like loans need authorization even if the parameters are not changed.
All journal entries need to be authorized before being posted into the accounts.
The same option of maker / checker is also available when web services are used to create or modify data in Aura.
Bank can also choose to have auto-approval for some roles, so that the data is automatically authorized as soon as it is input.
For a detailed explanation, refer to the user manual on Admin > Roles.
